Hot August Pups Get Pampered at the Porto Vista Hotel's Monthly Mutt Mingle Event

With the dog days of summer upon us, the Porto Vista Hotel is unleashing its monthly Mutt Mingle event with a number of special guests that will help cool, calm and compose guest’s four-legged companions. On Friday, August 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the hotel’s Ripassi roof terrace will be transformed into a ‘Wooftop’ happy hour for an evening of specialty cocktails, appetizers and complimentary pet services.

Porto Vista will have the pup’s tails wagging right away with the hotel’s lineup of exciting special guests including: the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, a local non-profit shelter and training facility; Canine Rex Massage and The Honest Kitchen, a pet massage therapist and holistic dog bakery; Sindi Somers of Wild and Tame Wellness and Communications, an animal communicator, pet nutrition and behavior consultant; and Dogs and the City, Daycare & Spa, San Diego's premier downtown doggie daycare and boarding facility.

With complimentary services offered throughout the evening, the pooches may think they have stepped into doggy heaven. The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA will offer holistic pet food samples, information on training classes, community programs and details on adoptable pets. Canine Rex Massage & The Honest Kitchen will provide complimentary canine massages and discount massage coupons, as well as give out goodie bags featuring samples of Honest Kitchen pet food. Wild and Tame Wellness and Communications will offer complimentary animal readings and helpful information on positive reinforcement training methods, pet behavior and energy healing.
